I wrote a set of PilotManager conduits to sync the standard Palm apps (AddressBook, DateBook, Memo, and Todo) with XML on my desktop.
These tools are available through the XML at Sun Developer Connection . The conduits are described in “ XML From Your Palm ” which I updated in Oct, 2000.
The version 1.0 Todo conduit contains a significant bug, it does not preserve the due date for dated todos. I've updated the conduits and the article that documents them, it should be available from the Sun Developer Connection soon. In the meantime, you can download version 1.1 from this site.
As far as I know, PilotManager only works on Unix operating systems. The underlying components have all been ported to Windows, so it should be possible to make PilotManager, and the XML conduits, work under Windows. If someone builds a port, I would dearly love to hear about it.
Sergey Gribov is working on a desktop application for editing the XML AddressBook.
